Lyrics:
Every day I see the same headlines
Crimes committed in the name of the divine
People committing atrocities in his name
They murder and kidnap with no shame
But did he teach hatred, violence, or bloodshed? No… Oh No
He taught us about human brotherhood
And against prejudice he firmly stood
He loved children, their hands he’d hold
And taught his followers to respect the old
So would he allow the murder of an innocent child? Oh No…
Muhammad ya rasulallah
Muhammad ya habiballah
Muhammad ya khalilallah
Muhammad
Muhammad ya rasulallah
Muhammad ya shafi’allah
Muhammad ya bashirallah
Ya rasulallah
Muhammad the light of my eyes
About you they spread many lies
If only they came to realise
Bloodshed you despise

Muhammad (Pbuh) (Percussion Version) – Sami Yusuf
DESCRIPTION:
Composer Sami Yusuf’s mastery of musical languages dazzles in ‘L’Amour Vivant’.
The initial movement unfolds within the intricate geometry of the Baroque style,
a form that was imprinted on the composer’s soul during his upbringing in London
and that remains a cherished inspiration. From the start we hear the subtle
meeting of musical paths in the Arabic baladi rhythm that underlies the graceful melody.
The transition into the second movement transports the listeners to the heart of Sami Yusuf’s
other musical heritage, immersing them in the Central Asian Azerbaijani world.
The third movement revisits the Baroque sound before incorporating
the rich tonalities and nuanced rhythms of the Middle East and Persia,
seamlessly blending them into a sweeping soundscape.
The meditative sounds of the West African kora and the sensuous tones of the Chinese erhu then follow.
The final movement acts as a love letter to the world classical traditions encapsulated here,
skillfully weaving together the myriad emotions experienced throughout this journey in sound.
‘L’Amour Vivant’ is one of Sami Yusuf’s compositions from the second concert of his ‘When Paths Meet’ series.
It features The Sami Yusuf Ensemble, The Scoring Orchestra of Paris, The Métaboles,
and stellar soloists and specialist musicians in a stunning collaboration.
‘L’Amour Vivant’ is classical crossover at its most innovative.
Performed at the Paris Philharmonic.

L’Amour Vivant – Sami Yusuf
DESCRIPTION:
Sami Yusuf’s composition ‘Veritas’ premiered at the Holland Festival in Amsterdam
as part of his concert series ‘When Paths Meet’.
From the minimal and ethereal sound of the intro,
it subtly transitions to a sense of awe at the astonishing majesty and multiplicity of creation.
The Persian-influenced musical phrasing of Sami Yusuf’s vocalisations
in the intro are inspired by the Daramad of Avaz-e dashti,
a subgroup of the Shur dastgah, a Persian modal system evocative of a meditative state.
Cappella Amsterdam sings quarter tones here and they do so brilliantly.
The flamenco and Andalusian sounds of the Amsterdam Andalusian Orchestra interplay
with Western classical elements and the vibrant Arabic maqam Bayati.
When the mode shifts to the passionate yearning of maqam Nahawand,
its similarity to the Western classical minor scale brings an effortless resonance between the two.
The outro joins Bayati and a harmonic minor scale in a multi-faceted,
fiery expression of multiple, even contradictory states of being,
while the vocalists insist,
‘Veritas’, ‘Veritas’ – Truth, Truth – and cast our focus beneath the turbulent surface storms
to the calm depths below.

Lyrics:
I DREAM FOR A DAY
WHEN THERE’LL BE
NO MORE MISERY
WHEN THERE’S NO MORE HUNGER
NO NEED FOR SHELTER
ISN’T THERE ENOUGH TO SHARE?
OR IS THAT WE JUST DON’T CARE?
WE’RE HERE FOR A DAY OR TWO
LET ME SHOW MY WAY
SALAAMU ALAIK, SALAAMU ALAIK, SALAAMU ALAIKUM
PEACE BE UPON YOU, PEACE BE UPON YOU, PEACE BE WITH YOU ALL
I PRAY FOR A DAY
WHEN THERE’LL BE
JUSTICE AND UNITY
WHEN WE PUT ASIDE OUR DIFFERENCES
FIGHTING MAKES NO SENSE
JUST A LITTLE FAITH TO MAKE IT A BETTER PLACE
WE’RE HERE FOR A DAY OR TWO
LET ME SHOW MY WAY
SALAAMU ALAIK, SALAAMU ALAIK, SALAAMU ALAIKUM
PEACE BE UPON YOU, PEACE BE UPON YOU, PEACE BE WITH YOU ALL
SALAAMU ALAIKUM YA AHL AL-SALAAM
PEACE BE WITH YOU, O PEOPLE OF PEACE
SALAAMU ALAIKUM
PEACE BE WITH YOU ALL
SALAAMU ALAIKA SAYYID AL-KIRAM
PEACE BE UPON YOU, O MASTER OF THE GENEROUS
SALAAMU ALAIKUM

Lyrics:
We were given so many prizes
We changed the desert into oases
We built buildings of different lengths and sizes
And we felt so very satisfied
We bought and bought and couldn’t stop buying
We gave charity to the poor coz we couldn’t stand their crying
We thought we’d paid our dues
But in fact to ourselves we were just lying
Chorus:
I’m walking with my head lowered in shame for my place
I’m walking with my head lowered for my race
Yes, it’s easy to blame everything on the West
When in fact all focus should be on ourselves
We were told what to buy and we bought
We went to London, Paris, and Costa del Sol
We made sure we were seen in the most exclusive cafes and shops
Yes, we felt so very satisfied
We felt our money gave us infinite power
We forgot to teach our children about history and honour
We didn’t have any time to lose
When we were so busy feeling so satisfied
Chorus
We became individuals without a soul
Despite the heat, our homes felt so empty and cold
To fill the emptiness, we bought and bought
Maybe all the fancy cars and bling will make us satisfied
My dear brother and sister it’s time to change inside
Open your eyes, don’t throw away what’s right aside
Before the day comes when there’s no where to run or hide
Now ask yourself ’cause Allah is watching you: Is He satisfied?
Is Allah is satisfied?
Chorus

Lyrics :
A humble slave I am of an almighty Lord
No work is too hard for that One who’s adored
But though I’m a beggar who cannot afford
To claim any strength, sure and strong is my Lord
He says, where He wills, when He wishes a thing,
just “Be”, and it is, by the might of a King
The ruler whose edicts and wise rulings bring
All blessings and grace by the might of a King
I haven’t got the force,
No strength between my sides
Why feel such remorse
when the Maker provides?
[Arabic:]
I’m but a humble slave, what should I worry about?
All affairs are ordained, of this there is no doubt
My Lord sees everything, while my sight leaves much out
In the womb, He formed me from a drop
O Allah, send your blessings on The Chosen One
Our beloved Muhammad, Peace be upon him
[English:]
I’m safe in the shade of his all-knowing height
And no strength have I — His all power and might.
So glory to God, his bounty shining bright,
All gratitude and praise are His due and His right.

Lyrics:
One day this pain will leave me
Or maybe it never will
Right now it’s part of me
And it’s getting greater still
All I know it’s apart of the process
One I must go through
And I feel my time is coming
I still I have work to do?
Looking back at all my troubles
I’ve always seen a guiding light
Showing me the right way
What is wrong and what is right?
But to listen is so easily
When you’re going through your strive
But to listen ain’t so easily
When you have a troubled mind
Chorus:
‘Cause I’m facing my pain,
I’m not hiding way
I believe I’ll ..
See a brighter day
I’m facing my pain,
I’m not hiding way
I believe I’ll…
See a brighter day
Won’t you tell me all your secrets
Why you are crying in the night
Do you think the pain will leave you?
If you face it just mind
No more hiding in the shadows
No more hiding in the nights
If you face the pain it reach you
Then the world is yours tonight.
Chorus
But when I find my homeland
Then my mind it will be free
Chorus
I’m facing my pain,
I’m not hiding way ..
See a brighter day

Lyrics:
I’m Not Ready To Let You Go
Strong hands are helping you
From falling down
Your faith so inspiring
As you settle down
The angels are welcoming
We feel it all around
With gentle eyes you say to me
All the signs are there
Allah’s always been kind to me
So don’t you despair
There’s so much I don’t understand
I say Dad not yet …
Cos I’m not ready
To let you go
You’ve been there for me, strong and steady
Always holding on
How can a mountain
Just crumble and fold
Leaving a river
To find its way home
How do I find my way home
Guess I’m not ready
To let you go
The world keeps turning round and round like nothing’s wrong
But my world’s turning upside down I don’t belong
It seems I’ve changed so much since you’ve been gone
There’s a pain inside my heart I can’t let go
Allah knows …
I’m not ready
To let you go
You’ve been there for me, strong and steady
Always holding on
So how can my mountain
Just crumble and fold

Lyrics:
You lift me up high,
You spread my wings,
And fly me to the sky,
I feel so alive,
It’s like my soul thrives in your light,
But how I wish you’d be,
Here with me all year around,
Ramadan Ramadan,
Ramadanu ya habib,
Ramadan Ramadan
Laytaka dawman qareeb,
Love is everywhere,
So much peace fills up the air,
Ramadan month of the Quran,
I feel it inside of me,
strengthening my Iman,
But how I wish you’d be Here with me all year around,
Ramadan Ramadan,
Ramadanu ya habib,
Ramadan Ramadan
Laytaka dawman qareeb,
I just love the way you make me feel,
Every time you come around you,
breathe life into my soul,
And I promise that,
I’ll try throughout the year,
To keep your spirit alive In my heart, it never dies,
Oh Ramadan!,
Ramadan Ramadan,
Ramadanu ya habib,
Ramadan Ramadan
Laytaka dawman qareeb,
Laytaka dawman qareeb.

Lyrics :
This is not the way it is
This is not the way it should be
You’re destroying everything, everything that’s dear to me
I can never be like you; you are the wicked of this world
You are the reason why we feel fear in our daily lives
And faith is not about killing, it’s about life and sharing life with someone
Yes faith is not about killing, it’s about life and sharing life and making a difference
Yeah making a difference
Don’t involve the innocent, don’t involve them that’s not the way
Lost in your own ignorance, believing you will save the day
And Faith is not about killing, it’s about life and sharing life with someone
Yes faith is not about killing, it’s about life and sharing life and making a difference
Yeah making a difference
It is not enough to say that you’re fighting for a good cause
When you take their lives away, ask the one’s that suffered their loss
And Faith is not about killing, it’s about life and sharing life with someone
Yes faith is not about killing, it’s about life and sharing life and making a difference
Yeah making a difference
Use your mind, use your mind, it was given for you to use
Use your mind, use your mind, not for you to abuse
Don’t involve the innocent, don’t involve them that’s not the way
Lost in your own ignorance, believing you will save the day
And Faith is not about killing, it’s about life and sharing life with someone

lyrics:
Diliges proximum tuum tamquam te ipsum
[Translation: ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself’]
Love to give!
To give is love,
And love the gift,
The gift of love.
No belief!
Without the love,
Believe in love!
The belief of love.
None of you truly believes until you love for your neighbour what you love for yourself.
[A saying of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)]
Love to give!
The gift of love,
Give the other,
All your love.
What a relief!
To give my love,
I am now you,
And you are my love!

Lyrics:
Softly you called to me
Out from the space between
Out from eternity
Where love winds a path unseen
Out of the wilderness
You beckoned my every step
I stumbled sometimes and yet
I never once looked back
Cause I would see
The man I know I used to be
How I was lost before you reached for me
And I don’t know
Where I would go
What I would do
Without you
Eser bir yel, dağılır sis
Ne iz bırakır ne bir giz
Yine o derin, dipsiz
O şefkatle affeden
Evvelim, şimdim, ahirim
Benim Sevgili sahibim
Bir okula misafirim
Mezuniyet bekleyen
So you might see
Just what your love has meant to me
And what the cost of losing you would be
No I don’t know
Where I would go or what I’d do
Without you
My heart won’t beat
Without your love in me
My eyes won’t see
Beauty without thee
Loves melody that you put in me
Would lead me to only
Silence without you
Cause I would see
The man I know I used to be
How I was lost before you reached for me
And I don’t know
Where I would go
What I would do
Without you

Lyrics:
Ya Rabbi Ya Ghafur
يا ربي يا غفور
Ya ‘Alimu Ya Shakur
يا عليم يا شكور
Oh my Sustainer, Oh Off-Forgiving One!
Oh All-Knowing One, Oh Most Grateful One!
Allif baina qulubina
ألف بين قلوبنا
Aslih dhata bainina
أصلح ذات بيننا
Bring our hearts close together
Mend our relationships
What makes you sigh?
My father said to me
Saw you walking by
And keeping it from me
I do care, I do care
Come sit with me
Tell me what’s on your mind
I know how it can be
I also was a child
Don’t despair, don’t despair
Allif baina qulubina
ألف بين قلوبنا
Aslih dhata bainina
أصلح ذات بيننا
Bring our hearts close together
Mend our relationships
How can I tell you about
All that I feel
You would only start to shout
Make a big deal
And I’m beginning to doubt
If my wounds will heal
You’re right, I’m wrong, always the same
No one, really, knows of my pain
Ya Rabbi Ya Ghafur
يا ربي يا غفور
Ya ‘Alimu Ya Shakur
يا عليم يا شكور
Oh my Sustainer, Oh Off-Forgiving One!
Oh All-Knowing One, Oh Most Grateful One!
Allif baina qulubina
ألف بين قلوبنا
Aslih dhata bainina
أصلح ذات بيننا
Bring our hearts close together
Mend our relationships
I never knew
You felt this way
Sometimes I’s true
You had no say
My hopes for you
Made me walk by
I left no room
To let you try
I’d not realized
How much you’d grown
To make mistakes
I’m also prone
Ya Rabbi Ya Ghafur
يا ربي يا غفور
Ya ‘Alimu Ya Shakur
يا عليم يا شكور
Oh my Sustainer, Oh Off-Forgiving One!
Oh All-Knowing One, Oh Most Grateful One!
Allif baina qulubina
ألف بين قلوبنا
Aslih dhata bainina
أصلح ذات بيننا
Bring our hearts close together
Mend our relationships
I thought I was the only one
Who felt this pain
Who felt so wronged
I thought you didn’t really care
But now I know I was unfair
Without you I would never be
The person I have come to be
Allif baina qulubina
ألف بين قلوبنا
Aslih dhata bainina
أصلح ذات بيننا
Bring our hearts close together
Mend our relationships

Lyrics:
Ours the future hold close
For a time will come
Deep in your heart there’s a river that flows
All the way to Kingdom come
Through the sandstorms where the high wind blows
A desert rose does bloom
Please help me…
Give the young a chance
Lead them in the dance
My people
Give the young a chance
To change their circumstance
And so… And so… It’s written:
As the moon shall turn the tides
And as the stars shall light your ride
Don’t listen to the words of fools
The young I know they are the jewels
Deeds I’ve done what I’ve become
Treasures I will find
Nourishment I do receive
Can’t help but believe
The road is long I shall stay strong
Please hear my song
Help me…
Give the young a chance
Lead them in the dance
My brothers
Give the young a chance
Lead them in the dance
My sisters
Give the young a chance
To change their circumstance
And so… And so… It’s written:
As the moon shall turn the tides
And as the stars shall light your ride
Don’t listen to the words of fools
The young I know they are the jewels
Take me to gardens where
Birds will sing lullabies
Find me in the shade of trees
Through gentle breeze
Sweet scents filled the air…
Give the young a chance
Lead them in the dance
My people
Give the young a chance
To change their circumstance

Allahi Allah kiya karo
Dukh na kisee ko diya karo
Joh duniya ka malik hai
Nam usee ka liya karo

(Say always in remembrance Allah O Allah
Do not give anyone sorrow or despair
For He is the sovereign king of the whole world
Take only His name
Allah O Allah)
Just like a sunrise
Can’t be denied no
Just like the river
Will find the sea
O Allah, you’re here
And You’re always near
And I know without a doubt
That You always hear my prayer
Chorus
So many bright stars
Like diamonds in the sky, Oh
It makes me wonder
How anyone can be blind
To all the signs so clear
Just open your eyes
And I know without a doubt
You will surely see the light
Theri hi dunya
Theri zameen
Yeh kahekashan hai
Thu hai Karim
Mere….Maula
Sunle dhua
Hum bebas hain
There bina
Roshan kar jahan
(This is your world
This is your earth
This is your sky
You are generous
My Lord, hear my prayer
We are helpless without you
Illuminate the earth)

I dream to walk in the streets of Medina
And to quench the thirst of my spirit
By visiting you O Muhammad!
Chorus:
Assalamu alayka ya
Ya Rasool Allah
Assalamu Alayka ya habibi
Ya Nabiy Allah
Assalamu alayka ya
Ya Rasool Allah
Assalamu Alayka ya habibi
Ya Nabiy Allah, ya Rasool Allah
I left all my troubles and worries
As I entered your Mosque so gently
And as I finally stood there before you
I couldn’t stop my tears from falling
In your presence O Muhammad!
Chorus
O Taiba your breeze is so blessed
Indeed it brought life back to my spirit
I’ve left my heart with my beloved
Sending blessings on Muhammad
Chorus

“Close To You” Lyrics:
I’m sitting here on this mountain
I’m thinking about Your creation
It’s so beautiful out here
A symphony of nature
Oh oh, it’s taking my breath away
I’m so blessed out here today
Chorus:
Allahu, Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah
I see the sun, the stars, the moon
I join them all in praising You
Allahu, Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah
I feel alive and I feel so good
I feel so close, so close to You
Looking out at the ocean
That makes us blue to the Universe
Wish I could see the world from space
SubhanAllah The Creator
Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah
Oh oh, and it’s taking my breath away
I’m so thankful I can say, just say…
CHORUS
And everywhere I look around me
Your creation’s so wonderful
And the more that think about it
Makes me love You even more
How the river finds the way to the valley
Is just so magical
And the way the night turns into day
It’s a miracle!
Oh, I love it!

Lyrics:
It’s so hard to explain
What I’m feeling
But I guess it’s ok
Cause I’ll keep believing
There’s something deep inside
Something that’s calling
It’s calling you and I
It’s taking us up high
Healing, a simple act of kindness bring such meaning
A smile can change a life let’s start believing
And feeling, let’s start healing
Heal and you will be healed
Break every border
Give and you will receive
It’s nature’s order
There is a hidden force
Pulling us closer
It’s pulling you and I
It’s pulling us up high to…
Healing, a simple act of kindness brings such meaning
A smile can change a life lets start believing
And feeling, let’s start healing
Hearts in the hand of another heart and in God’s hand are all hearts
An eye takes care of another eye and from God’s eye nothing hides
Seek only to give and you’ll receive
So, heal and you will be healed

I Love Muhammad – Lyrics:
I close my eyes
And I see the most beautiful smile
From the most beloved,
The final Prophet of all mankind
Al Mustafa (The Chosen One)
Came to a world drowning in greed
For you and for me
A perfect guide to be
Until the end of time
CHORUS
Peace be upon him
I love Muhammad
His loved ones and kin
I love Muhammad
Whenever, wherever
I love Muhammad
Now and forever
I love Muhammad
All night and all day,
I love Muhammad
No matter what they say
I love Muhammad
A mercy for all
We’ll answer the call
And say “I love Muhammad”
Gentle and brave
His heart he gave
To those downtrodden,
The weak and forgotten
For all the world to save
I pray he will be
Standing with me
On that final day
We’ll seek Allah’s grace
Until then we’ll sing and say
CHORUS
Salla Allahu ‘ala Muhammad
Salla Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam
Salla Allahu ‘ala Muhammad
Salla Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam

The.Dawn ( Live in New Delhi ) – Sami Yusuf
I know that You could easily
Take away every thing You’ve given me
And I try to remember
Not to take anything for granted
‘Cause I know that one day
Suddenly this will all come to an end
So my last wish is for you to be pleased with me
Allah, Ya Allah
Guide me all the way to your Jannah
Ya Allah, Ya Allah
Don’t let me go astray ’cause I need you
By my side, I wish to be close
Close to You throughout my life
Ya Allah, oh Allah!
Be with me all the way
I know that sometime I do
I do forget that my last breath could be the last
Forgive me ’cause I can’t thank you enough
Forgive me when I doubt your love
Now I pray for that day
when all this stops and comes to an end
So my my last wish is for You to be pleased with me
Allah, Ya Allah
Guide me all the way to your Jannah
Ya Allah, Ya Allah
Don’t let me go astray ’cause I need you
By my side, I wish to be close
Close to You throughout my life
Ya Allah, oh Allah!
Be with me all the way
Day by day passes
And I think that my time could be near
So I pray: O God let this world be in my hands
And not in my heart
‘Cause soon I’ll have to leave it, ‘Cause soon I’ll have to leave it
Allah, Ya Allah
Guide me all the way to your Jannah
Ya Allah, Ya Allah
