When paths meet (Live at the Holland Festival)
أناشيد الألبوم
DESCRIPTION:
Sami Yusuf’s composition ‘Veritas’ premiered at the Holland Festival in Amsterdam
as part of his concert series ‘When Paths Meet’.
From the minimal and ethereal sound of the intro,
it subtly transitions to a sense of awe at the astonishing majesty and multiplicity of creation.
The Persian-influenced musical phrasing of Sami Yusuf’s vocalisations
in the intro are inspired by the Daramad of Avaz-e dashti,
a subgroup of the Shur dastgah, a Persian modal system evocative of a meditative state.
Cappella Amsterdam sings quarter tones here and they do so brilliantly.
The flamenco and Andalusian sounds of the Amsterdam Andalusian Orchestra interplay
with Western classical elements and the vibrant Arabic maqam Bayati.
When the mode shifts to the passionate yearning of maqam Nahawand,
its similarity to the Western classical minor scale brings an effortless resonance between the two.
The outro joins Bayati and a harmonic minor scale in a multi-faceted,
fiery expression of multiple, even contradictory states of being,
while the vocalists insist,
‘Veritas’, ‘Veritas’ – Truth, Truth – and cast our focus beneath the turbulent surface storms
to the calm depths below.

DESCRIPTION:
‘Karitas’ is a spellbinding new composition by acclaimed British musician Sami Yusuf.
It was recorded live at the Holland Festival in June 2022 and delivered with
exceptional artistry by Cappella Amsterdam,
the Amsterdam Andalusian Orchestra & the composer’s own ensemble.
The work moves with intelligence and fluidity from Western choral music
to Middle Eastern modes to the cadence of Andalusia.
Modes traverse boundaries from the distinctive Bayati Shiraz
and Rast maqams to the aeolian. Subtly flowing rhythms & improvisation,
entrancing solos on the Chinese erhu, oud, ney, violin,
underscore the depth of the dialogue among traditions taking place here.
Lyrics by Fuzuli, a 16th c. Azerbaijani writer known as a poet of divine love,
are echoed here in the words of the 12th c. German mystic Hildegard of Bingen.
Intoxicatingly beautiful mawwals take verses from
the Andalusian poet Abul Hasan al-Shushtari (13th c.) and
Abd al-Ghani al-Nabulsi, a 17th c. Syrian writer.

DESCRIPTION:
Acclaimed British composer Sami Yusuf brings the immensely popular
Moroccan folk song ‘Fiyyashiyya’ to a European audience in his stunning
new arrangement performed live at the Holland Festival.
An achingly eloquent solo improvisation on the Chinese erhu
by the world-renowned master Guo Gan opens the piece,
which then moves into a joyful call and response between Sami Yusuf
and the vocalists of Cappella Amsterdam. As the rhythm builds,
the Arabic lyrics sung by the Amsterdam Andalusian Orchestra
are answered in English by Cappella Amsterdam.
This innovative rendition captures the exuberant essence of
the North African folk sound just as it clearly captured the hearts
of the audience who are heard clapping and singing along.
Written by the Moroccan poet
Sidi Othman ibn Yahya Cherki (known as “Sidi Bahloul Cherki”) in the 17th century

and to lead the listener inward to a place of knowing beyond words.

About the Performance
Sami Yusuf’s instrumental composition ‘The Meeting’ is an intimate
and deeply personal work. Direct and non-linear, the melodies,
rhythms and vocalisations sustain and support
one another flawlessly as the music moves fluidly between the Western
aeolian mode and the Persian dastgah shur. Solos by Sami Yusuf on tar,
Guo Gan on erhu, and Asad Khan on sitar circle each other
to create an embracing ambience where each melodic line is a subtle gem,
strong and fragile in equal measure.

Experience the beauty and unity of diverse musical traditions with Sami Yusuf’s
latest release, ‘One.’ Recorded live at the Holland Festival in June 2022,
this piece showcases exceptional artistry from Cappella Amsterdam,
the Amsterdam Andalusian Orchestra, and Sami Yusuf’s own ensemble.
Composed and arranged by Sami Yusuf,
‘One’ is a stunning blend of Western European vocal performance and the dynamic
rhythms of Andalusian, North African and Middle Eastern instruments including the ney,
violin, qanun, santur and percussions.
The German words by Meister Eckhart and Arabic poetry by Abu al-Hasan al-Shushtari

ذو الجلال و الإكرام، سيد الأكوان، هو المنان
DHUL-JALAALI WA AL-IKRAAM, SAIYYD AL-AKWAN, HOWA-AL-MANNAN
THE MOST MAJESTIC AND MOST BOUNTIFUL, MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE, THE MOST GRACIOUS
إن لي رب عظيم، ليس مثله إله، هو الرحمن
INNA LI RABBAN ADHEEM, LAIYYSA LI RABBUN SIWAH, HOWA-AL-RAHMAN
MY LORD IS TRULY GREAT, THERE IS NO GOD BUT HIM, HE IS THE MOST MERCIFUL
YOU ARE THE SOURCE OF ALL POWER
MY NEED IN MY DARKEST HOUR
MY LORD
YOUR LIGHT AND LOVE ALL I SEEK
NOTHING MORE I’D EVER WANT OR NEED
MY LORD
PROTECT ME FROM DISHONOUR
GRANT ME FAITH TO BE STRONGER
MY LORD
YOU ARE THE SOURCE OF ALL MERCY
INFINITE LIGHT FOR ALL TO SEE
MY LORD
SOME CLAIM TO REPRESENT YOU
BUT EVERYTHING THEY DO IS SO FAR AWAY FROM YOU
MY LORD
HELP US TO KNOW YOU BETTER
HELP US LOVE ONE ANOTHER
MY LORD
كم يعاني قلبي،
KAM YU’ANI QALBI
HOW MUCH MY HEART SUFFERS
لكن معي ربي
LAKIN MA’I RABBI
BUT MY LORD IS WITH ME
إلهي، رحمن
ILAHI, RAHMAN
MY LORD, THE SOURCE OF MERCY
أنت نور الأمان
ANTA NOOR AL-AMAN
YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF SAFETY
I KNOW SOME DOORS YOU MAY CLOSE
BUT THIS IS HOW LIFE’S STORY GOES
YOU ARE MY GUIDE, THE SOURCE OF LIGHT
MY LORD
ذو الجلال و الإكرام، سيد الأكوان، هو المنان
DHUL-JALAALI WA AL-IKRAAM, SAIYYD AL-AKWAN, HOWA-AL-MANNAN

When paths meet (Live at the Holland Festival) – Sami Yusuf

Lyrics:
Ashaab e Muhammad haq ke wali, Abu-Bakar Umar Usmaan-o-Ali
Yaraan e Nabi mein sab se jali, Abu Bakar Umar Usmaan-o-Ali
They are the closest companions
Most high in rank is their station
Among the gems they were chosen
The first to build our foundation.
These four our Prophet did entrust
Through whom the truth would reach to us
The pillars of his ways and his love
The beacons of his light for all of us.
The stars who guide us through the night
Their path: it leads to paradise
They are the roots, we are the leaves
We are raindrops, they are the seas.
And when the Prophet left this world
No harder time for all it felt
Then strength was found when they stood tall
They lifted and firmly held his torch.
Indebted to them how we are
They went great lengths for this Ummah
Their vision was on times later
They sacrificed so much for us.

Lyrics:
We keep telling each other
That this day will be
Will be the last and tomorrow
We all can go home free
And all this will finally end
Palestine tomorrow will be free
Palestine tomorrow will be free
No mother, no father to wipe away my tears
That’s why I won’t cry
I feel scared but I won’t show my fears
I keep my head high
Deep in my heart I never have any doubt
That Palestine tomorrow will be free
Palestine tomorrow will be free
I saw those rockets and bombs shining in the sky
Like drops of rain in the sun’s light
Taking away everyone dear to my heart
Destroying my dreams in a blink of an eye
What happened to our human rights?
What happened to the sanctity of life?
And all those other lies?
I know that I’m only a child
But is your conscience still alive?
I will caress with my bare hands
Every precious grain of sand
Every stone, and every tree
‘Cause no matter what they do
They can never hurt you
‘Cause your soul will always be free
Palestine tomorrow will be free
Palestine tomorrow will be free

On that moment before all moments,
On that morn before the world was born,
When we did Thy Lordship witness,
Seeing Thy Countenance, hearing Thy Command,
Uttering the yea that echoes forever within,
Did we the cadence of Divine Music hear.
In this lowly world I hear that Music near and far,
In the plucking of the oud and the tar,
In the drone of the sitar and the gong of the gamelan,
In the haunting melodies of those monks
Singing in unison of Thy Glory,
In the rhythmic drumbeats issuing from verdant forests,
And the shepherd’s ney breathing upon the hills,
In all those voices chanting of the love for Thee,
In all music that celebrates Thy Beauty inviolable,
I do hear that cadence of Divine Music,
And so in the chanting of the birds and the singing of the whales,
In the murmur of the wind through those majestic trees,
And even in the silent invocation of the mountains and the stars,
For is not the substance of all Thy creation,
But invocation of Thy Blessed Names
chanted in the cadence of Divine Music?
But most of all it is in solitude with Thee,
When I and Thou are alone in intimacy,
That I hear so clearly the cadence of that Music Divine
Which I heard on that pre-eternal dawn,
And which ceases not to resonate within,
Bearing witness to the reality of Thy Presence,
Echoing the cadence of that Divine Music,
Echoes from the myriads of created beings
That are but nothingness reflecting Thy Theophanies.
Let me be alone in Thy intimacy,
So as to hear again in the clearest of sounds,
The cadence of that Music Divine
Which I heard at the moment of encounter with Thy Face,
In that pre-eternal moment of creation,
The moment that is now and ever shall be the eternal now.
On that moment before all moments,
On that morn before the world was born,

Lyrics:
Malayalam Verse:
Jeevante nritham pole
Like the seasons of nature and life
Ororo poovum pullum neele
On your path to success, every plant and flower that acts as an umbrella
Theeratha kavyam theerpu
Life is like an eternal poem
Aa vinnil suryan porum
The Morning sun that shines your day
Ravakum tharajalam pookum
As well the stars that lit the sky for you
Kalathin thalam kelkan va
To let you hear the rhythm of life
Venal marum varsham peyyum
Come and witness the summer move aside for the rain to drop
Ushasandhyakalayi manasse padu
After the darkest night comes dawn
Thalarathe naam Thudaram yathra
so never back down and continue the journey
Hindi Verse:
Ye Subha Mein Ujala
This Brightness in the Morning
Ye Machalti Shaam Ka Roshan Tara
is like a glistening star on a fancy night
Kehta Hai Tu Bhi Aaa Jagmaga
that says “come and shine with me”
Ghani Hain Ye Rahen
The ways are thick
Judi Aise Jaise bahen
Combined as two arms
Manzil Pe tum gum Na ho Jana
Our point of destiny won’t be lost
Qadam Badha
Step Forward
Bulandi Pe Jaa
Reach the heights
Sapnay Tu Saja
Build all your dreams
Jalway tu Dikha
Come out in flying colors
Aman Ko Jaga
Bring peace
Ghamon Ko Bhula
Forget all the hardships

Lyrics :
There’s something on my mind, on my mind
I just can’t get it right, can’t get it right
It doesn’t go away, doesn’t go away
Even though I try to ignore it
I just want peace of mind, I want peace of mind
I feel like breaking down time after time
And it keeps coming back, always coming back
All my life doubting was a part of me
Day and night I fight my insecurities
Asking: “Why?” “Why am I?” “Who am I?”
I just want some peace of mind
Antassalam (You [God] are Peace)
Wa minkassalam (And from You comes all peace)
Tabarakta ya (Blessed are You)
Ya Thal Jalali wal Ikram (O Lord of Majesty and Bounty)
O God I need Your peace, I need Your peace
I still believe with hardship comes ease
Make this stress go away, go away
Go away, go away, yeah!
All my life I know You’ve been guiding me
You’re the One, the One who knows my destiny
I’ll be alright, I’m sure that You’ll look after me
You know what’s inside of me
All my life I know You’ve been blessing me
You’re the only One, the One who knows my destiny

Allahumma salli ‘ala,
Sayyidina,
Muhammadin an-Nabiyyi al-ummiyyi,
Wa ‘ala alihi wa sahbihi wa sallim.
(O Allah, send your peace and blessings upon our Master Muhammad, the Unlettered Prophet, and upon his family and companions.)
O My Lord,
My sins are like
The highest mountain;
My good deeds
Are very few
They’re like a small pebble.
I turn to You
My heart full of shame,
My eyes full of tears.
Bestow Your
Forgiveness and Mercy
Upon me.
Ya Allah,
Send your peace and blessings
On the Final Prophet,
And his family,
And companions,
And those who follow him.

Lyrics:
Some might say this world today shows
God’s left us to our mistakes oh
He has never been
So far away
Some might say
How could any father stand
See his children across many lands
Suffer so and give no helping hand
No helping hand
Somewhere tonight
Far away and out of sight
There’s a child that’s too weak to cry
Hmmm
Deep in those eyes
Can’t you see him in disguise
Reaching out to the heart that’s in you
And I
In every tear
That is where
He is there
He’s the hand that wipes that brow
He’s the tear that trickles down
Upon the face that cries without a sound
We need you now
What a simple choice to make
Between what you give and what you take
When what you give
Such precious life could save, life could save
Somewhere inside
There’s a part of you that asks why
Would he leave so many so far behind
And deep in those eyes
Can’t you see Him in disguise
Reaching out to the heart that’s in you

“By My Side” Lyrics:-
Sometimes I can’t see
Where I’m supposed to go
Sometimes I speed up,
When I should take it slow
But through all my hard times
When I lose my way
You’re concealing my mistakes, yeah!
Pre-Chorus:
I know You’re always by my side
Never turning out Your light
When I need You most Your stars will shine
Chorus:
When I’m out there in the darkest place
Worn and tired
I can still see You illuminate
All my skies
When it feels like I’ve fallen too far from You
There You, there You, there You are
Guiding me through
Whenever I feel down
You can lift me up
Turning my life around
With Your love
No matter how rough it gets
I can wear a smile
‘Cause Your mercy never dries
I know You’re always by my side
Never turning out Your light
When I need You most Your stars will shine
PRE-CHORUS & CHORUS
Ain’t nobody, no no nobody
That knows me like You do
Ain’t nobody who makes me feel this way
Got no worries, no no worries
About anything
Cause I know You’re always there, oh

أنت الحقيقة والجلاس أوهام
أنت الهدى والوحي منك كلامه
فالناس حب و أنت أنت غرام
منك الصفا مذ بان بتّ بنعمة
نار الهوى نور وفيه ضرام
When I hear your name I can’t help but smile
When I say your name I come alive
I follow You leaving all behind
You are the truth, all else is a lie
The signs of Your love are clear to see
I’m lost in wonder every single night
The bright full moon is shy of Your beauty
The midday sun is shy of Your light
وفيض حبّك في صلاتي شربته

The bright full moon is shy of Your beauty
The midday sun is shy of Your light
وفيض حبّك في صلاتي شربته
فشفى جروحي وبات كلي سلام
والقرب منك اليك حين لمسته
سكن الفؤاد وطابت الأيام

“Alhamdu lillah” Lyrics:
I’m cruising on my journey
With it all the good and bad, hmm
His blessings that I don’t see
‘Cause I want Allah to love me
I’ll thank Him for whatever I have
Alhamdu lillah (praise be to God)
No matter what comes my way
Alhamdu lillah (praise be to God)
My heart will thank and praise
And every time I’m feeling down, or out of place
Alhamdu lillah (praise be to God)
Everything is gonna be OK!
This dunya (worldly life) can deceive me
When nothing ever goes as planned, hmm
And when I can’t remember,
My heart will surely understand
I ask Allah to guide me
I’m starving for His mercy
So I’ll thank Him for whatever I have
Alhamdu lillah (praise be to God)
No matter what comes my way
Alhamdu lillah
My heart will thank and praise
And every time I’m feeling down, or out of place
Alhamdu lillah
Everything is gonna be OK!
Alhamdu lillah, alhamdu lillah
Alhamdu lillah, alhamdu lillah
Alhamdu lillah (praise be to God)
No matter what comes my way
Alhamdu lillah
My heart will thank and praise
And every time I’m feeling down, or out of place
Alhamdu lillah
Everything is gonna be OK!

You Came to Me (Live at the Dubai Opera) – Sami Yusuf
The Key:
In an album of search and struggle, The Key represents a source of obstruction.
We may feel imprisoned in this physical realm, but sometimes the easiest way to free
ourselves is to first free our minds. While The Key can keep us captive, it can also set us free.
—
Lyrics :
In Andalucian morning light
In seas of azure, in dawning skies
I watch you bloom, the birth of spring
You are the song that all lovers sing
You are the key holding me in
I am a prisoner, I can’t escape
The key is inside the forms you take
You are the web I cannot spin
You are the pulse beneath my skin
You are the key holding me in
Your love is a door I cannot find
The only way out is from deep inside
I’m humbled by the light you take
When you cover every colour of the day
I’m brightened by the night you bring
You are the divine eternal ring
You are the end where everything begins
You are the key holding me in
I’m humbled by the light you take
When you cover every colour of the day
Illuminated in the night you bring
You are the divine eternal ring
You are the end where everything begins
You are the key holding me in
The only key holding me in

“Let It Go” Lyrics:-
Life can be so hard sometimes
Break you up inside
All you want to do is cry
Shut the door and hide
Don’t surrender to what was
Put your faith in what will be
Everyday is a brand new start
Chorus:
Let it go, let it go
Let it go, let it go
Giving up should never be
Something you decide to do
Wipe the tears from your cheek
God knows what you’re going through
So don’t surrender to what was
Put your faith in what will be
Everyday is a brand new start, yeah
CHORUS
I know it’s hard but believe and keep trying
And it will be okay
‘Cause in your heart is the strength to survive it
You will be okay
And in no time like the sun you’ll be shining
Just let it go away
CHORUS
Let it go away, let it go
Oh, let it go

One big family – Lyrics:
I wonder why you and me fight each other
Don’t you see the similarities between us?
Take a minute and see yourself in the mirror
You look like me: those eyes, lips – you can’t deny
Have you thought about
Why we look the same?
Why we feel the same?
Don’t tell me it’s by chance
Oh, you’re my brother
You’re my sister
We’re one big family
Oh, you’re my brother
You’re my sister
Just one big family
It doesn’t matter if you live far away from me
You feel I feel, you bleed I bleed, you cry and I cry
We sleep and dream
Sometimes we’re sad, sometimes we’re happy
You breathe I breathe
We love, walk, talk and we smile
Have you thought about
Why we look the same?
Why we feel the same?
Don’t tell me it’s by chance
Oh, you’re my brother
You’re my sister
We’re one big family
Oh, you’re my brother
You’re my sister
Just one big family
I care about you
And I wish you could realize
There’s no difference between us two
We’re part of one family
No matter how far you are
And even if we don’t know each other
Oh, you and me, me and you, we are one
Oh, you’re my brother
You’re my sister
We’re one big family
Oh, you’re my brother
You’re my sister

From East to West the Light of His Word does shine,
For It issues from that central Pole Divine,
Which is neither to the East nor the West confined,
And yet both East and West in Its Light unites.

You are a miracle
You are a blessing from above
You brought joy to my soul
And pleasure to my eyes
In my heart I can feel it
An unexplainable feeling
Being a father
The best thing that I could ever ask for
Just thinking of you makes me smile
Holding you, looking in your eyes
I’m so grateful for having you
And everyday I pray
I pray that you’ll find your way
You know I love you, I love you
My little girl, my little girl
I ask God to bless you, and protect you always
My little girl, my little girl
You’re like a shining star
So beautiful you are
My baby girl
You light up my world
I pray that I’ll get the chance
To be around and watch you grow
And witness your first steps
And the first time when you will call me “dad”
Just thinking of you makes me smile
Holding you, looking in your eyes
I’m so grateful for having you
And everyday I pray
I pray that you’ll find your way
You know I love you, I love you
My little girl, my little girl
I ask God to bless you, and protect you always
My little girl, my little girl
I could spend hours watching you
You’re so innocent, so wonderful and pure
O God I can not express my gratitude
But I’ll raise her good, ‘cause all I want is to please You
And now I pray You’ll guide her steps forever
You know I love you, I love you

Prism:
The light of our sun contains all the colours of this world, and the Prism allows us
to separate this light in to its “secret layers”. Inspired by a phrase
from a Hadith Qudsi (Sacred scripture): “When I love him I am his hearing with which he hears,
his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he moves and his foot with which he walks”,
the Prism is a symbol of discovery, a way of seeing “with which he sees”.

Lyrics:
All of your waves
Have come from one
The seed has spread
The dawn of light
Has split from white
To blues and reds
Behind it all
There must be more
Seven colours of day
Show the light of your way
Have I found what is lying behind
The fire in your eyes?
Do you see what I see?
And from one breath
All sound was formed
Your words could sing
The prism shares
Your secret layers
Unraveling
Behind it all
There must be more
Seven colours of day
Show the light of your way
Have I found what is lying behind
The fire in your eyes?
Do you see what I see?
Every heart, Every hand, Every head
Rise up
Every thought, Every tear, Every smile
Rise up
Every fear, Every doubt, Every trouble
Rise up
Every hope, Every wish, Every prayer
Rise Up
Every faith, Every creed, Every colour
Rise Up
Every mind, Every soul, Everyone
(Rise Up)
Do you see what I see?

Gathered here with my family
…My neighbours and my friends
Standing firm together against oppression holding hands
It doesn’t matter where you’re from
Or if you’re young, old, women or man
We’re here for the same reason; we want to take back our land
Oh God thank you..
For giving us the strength to hold on
And now we’re here together
Calling you for freedom, freedom
We know you can hear our call, ooh oh
We’re calling for freedom, fighting for freedom
We know you won’t let us fall, ooh no
We know you’re here with us
No more being prisoners in our homes
No more being afraid to talk
Our dream is just to be free, just to be free
Now when we’ve taking our first step
Towards a life of complete freedom
We can see our dream getting closer and closer, we’re almost there
Oh God thank you..
For giving us the strength to hold on
And now we’re here together
Calling you for freedom, freedom
We know you can hear our call, ooh oh
We’re calling for freedom, fighting for freedom
We know you won’t let us fall, ooh no
I can feel the pride in the air
And it makes me strong to see everyone
Standing together holding hands in unity
Shouting out loud demanding their right for freedom
…This is it and we’re not backing of
Oh God we know you hear our call
And we’re calling you for freedom, freedom

“Rabbee Yebarik” Lyrics:
May this moment last forever
In your hearts, in your hearts
A day you’ll always remember
Every part, every part
This feeling of love
Just let it grow forever through your life
Bring beautiful years of joy
Between you til the end of time
Chorus:
Allah bless you with all His love
Send peace from up above
And may your frienship grow
Through the years
Together you will live
The good times and the tears
That’s just how beautiful your day is
We gift all our thanks to both
Our mum and dad, mum and dad
How you worked and sacrificed
The life you had, life you had
Forever we’ll never forget
You and everything you’ve done
No matter how hard we try
To thank you it won’t be enough
CHORUS
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammad
(May Allah send peace upon Muhammad)
Khayru khalqillah, Rasoolullah
(The best of Allah’s creation, the Messenger of Allah)
Rabbee yebarik, Rabbee, Rabbee yebarik likom (x2)

Lyrics:
In a time of darkness and greed
It is your light that we need
You came to teach us how to live
Muhmmad, ya Rasoola Allah
You were so caring and kind
Your soul was full of light
You are the best of mankind
Muhammad, khairu khalqi Allah
Chorus:
Sallou ‘ala Rasooli Allah
Habibil Mustafa
Peace be upon the Messenger
The Chosen One
From luxury you turned away
And all night you would pray
Truthful in every word you say
Muhammad, ya Rasoola Allah
Your face was brighter than the sun
Your beauty equalled by none
You are Allah’s Chosen One
Muhammad, khayru khalqi Allah
Chorus
I’ll try to follow your way
And do my best to live my life
As you taught me
I pray to be close to you
On that day, and see you smile
When you see me
Chorus

Lyrics:
TO SEE YOU SMILE
GIVE IT ALL AWAY
SIGHT OF YOUR SMILE
SO PURE AND WIDE
JUST LIKE THE MOON IN THE SKY
SHINING SO BRIGHT
YOU GIVE ME STRENGTH
YOU GIVE ME LIFE
GIVE EVERYTHING DO ANYTHING
WHATEVER IT’LL TAKE, TO SEE YOUR SMILE
I KNOW THAT I DON’T DESERVE YOU
AND MY LIFE HAS MEANING ‘CAUSE OF YOU
GIVE IT ALL AWAY TO SEE YOUR SMILE
I KNOW THAT I DON’T DESERVE YOU
EVERY SONG I SING HAS ALWAYS BEEN FOR YOU
GIVE IT ALL AWAY, TO SEE YOUR SMILE
SIGHT OF YOUR SMILE
SO PURE AND WIDE
AS YOU WELCOME ME BACK INTO YOUR ARMS
TELL ME I’VE WRONGED BUT IT’S ALRIGHT, IT’S ALRIGHT
THE ONLY THING I NEED IN LIFE IS YOU
SO LOST AND FRUSTRATED FAR FROM YOU
YOUR LOVE IS WHAT MAKES IT ALL WORTHWHILE
GIVE EVERYTHING AWAY, ANYTHING FOR YOUR SMILE
WHEN I’M AWAY
FAR FROM YOUR SIDE
I WATCH THE CLOUDS
COME AND GO IN THE COLD NIGHT SKY
THEY START TO PLAY
THEY COME TO LIFE
AND FROM THE DARK THE MOON APPEARS
JUST LIKE YOUR SMILE SHE SHINES HER LIGHT
I KNOW THAT I DON’T DESERVE YOU
AND MY LIFE HAS MEANING ‘CAUSE OF YOU
GIVE IT ALL AWAY TO SEE YOUR SMILE
I KNOW THAT I DON’T DESERVE YOU

سبحان الله
سبحانك ربي سبحانك
(Glory be to You my Lord, glory be to You)
سبحانك ما أعظم شانك
(Glory be to You, How great is Your state of glory!)
(2)
ندعوك ونرجوا غفرانك
(We supplicate to You and hope for Your forgiveness)
ندعوك ونرجوا غفرانك ربي
(We supplicate to You and hope for Your forgiveness my Lord)
As I traveled through the earth
I can’t help but notice
The symphony I hear all around
From the smallest grain of sand
To the faraway planets
To a flower put in roots in the ground
Every bird in the sky
Every rock and every raindrop
Says as it falls from the clouds
Every ant, every plant
Every breeze and all the seas
They all sing
سبحانك ربي سبحانك
(Glory be to You my Lord, glory be to You)
سبحانك ما أعظم شانك

جل الله، بكل كون الله، ألمح نور الله
(Allah is exalted, and all the universe of Allah, I see Allah’s light)
وذكر ربي، في دقات قلبي يهتف بسم الله
(And the remembrance of my Lord, within my heart beats shouts out the name of Allah)
خلق الله صنع الله ما أبهاه
والأكوان تسبح بسم الله
(How beautiful is Allah’s creation)
(And all the worlds repeat the name of Allah)
جل الله في علاه
يا رباه، يا الرحمان
