When paths meet (Live at the Holland Festival)
أناشيد الألبوم
DESCRIPTION:
Experience the beauty and unity of diverse musical traditions with Sami Yusuf’s
latest release, ‘One.’ Recorded live at the Holland Festival in June 2022,
this piece showcases exceptional artistry from Cappella Amsterdam,
the Amsterdam Andalusian Orchestra, and Sami Yusuf’s own ensemble.
Composed and arranged by Sami Yusuf,
‘One’ is a stunning blend of Western European vocal performance and the dynamic
rhythms of Andalusian, North African and Middle Eastern instruments including the ney,
violin, qanun, santur and percussions.
The German words by Meister Eckhart and Arabic poetry by Abu al-Hasan al-Shushtari
speak of the Eternal I and the unity of vision, emphasising the separate beauty of
each path and their underlying unity.
Performed in E Flat with allusions to maqām Nahāwand,
‘One’ opens with Cappella Amsterdam’s hauntingly beautiful vocals,
transitioning to the richly textured and dynamic rhythms of Amsterdam
Andalusian Orchestra, culminating in a mesmerising santur and percussion performance
by Sami Yusuf’s ensemble.
‘One’ invites you to experience the oneness of the human spirit in art.

About the Performance
Sami Yusuf’s instrumental composition ‘The Meeting’ is an intimate
and deeply personal work. Direct and non-linear, the melodies,
rhythms and vocalisations sustain and support
one another flawlessly as the music moves fluidly between the Western
aeolian mode and the Persian dastgah shur. Solos by Sami Yusuf on tar,
Guo Gan on erhu, and Asad Khan on sitar circle each other
to create an embracing ambience where each melodic line is a subtle gem,
strong and fragile in equal measure.

I Only Knew Love (Live at the Holland Festival) – Sami Yusuf
DESCRIPTION:
Sami Yusuf’s composition ‘The Fire Within’ evokes the flame of love
that burns in the hearts of seekers everywhere.
This rich musical tapestry weaves together mystical strands of music and poetry
as it moves seamlessly from the aeolian sound of European choral music
to Andalusian modes to Middle Eastern scales.
Here we hear the voice of each tradition clearly articulated
as in an intricate conversation with one another.
Layer upon layer of melodies and rhythms serve to clarify the composer’s vision
and to lead the listener inward to a place of knowing beyond words.
Lyrics are drawn from mystical poets: Kaygusuz Abdal (Turkish lyrics),
Hildegard von Bingen (Latin lyrics),
Mansur ibn al-Hallaj and Abu al-Hasan al-Shushtari (Arabic lyrics).
Performed by Cappella Amsterdam, The Amsterdam Andalusian Orchestra,
and Sami Yusuf’s ensemble.

The Fire Within (Live at the Holland Festival) – Sami Yusuf
DESCRIPTION:
Acclaimed British composer Sami Yusuf brings the immensely popular
Moroccan folk song ‘Fiyyashiyya’ to a European audience in his stunning
new arrangement performed live at the Holland Festival.
An achingly eloquent solo improvisation on the Chinese erhu
by the world-renowned master Guo Gan opens the piece,
which then moves into a joyful call and response between Sami Yusuf
and the vocalists of Cappella Amsterdam. As the rhythm builds,
the Arabic lyrics sung by the Amsterdam Andalusian Orchestra
are answered in English by Cappella Amsterdam.
This innovative rendition captures the exuberant essence of
the North African folk sound just as it clearly captured the hearts
of the audience who are heard clapping and singing along.
Written by the Moroccan poet
Sidi Othman ibn Yahya Cherki (known as “Sidi Bahloul Cherki”) in the 17th century

DESCRIPTION:
‘Karitas’ is a spellbinding new composition by acclaimed British musician Sami Yusuf.
It was recorded live at the Holland Festival in June 2022 and delivered with
exceptional artistry by Cappella Amsterdam,
the Amsterdam Andalusian Orchestra & the composer’s own ensemble.
The work moves with intelligence and fluidity from Western choral music
to Middle Eastern modes to the cadence of Andalusia.
Modes traverse boundaries from the distinctive Bayati Shiraz
and Rast maqams to the aeolian. Subtly flowing rhythms & improvisation,
entrancing solos on the Chinese erhu, oud, ney, violin,
underscore the depth of the dialogue among traditions taking place here.
Lyrics by Fuzuli, a 16th c. Azerbaijani writer known as a poet of divine love,
are echoed here in the words of the 12th c. German mystic Hildegard of Bingen.
Intoxicatingly beautiful mawwals take verses from
the Andalusian poet Abul Hasan al-Shushtari (13th c.) and
Abd al-Ghani al-Nabulsi, a 17th c. Syrian writer.

Karitas (Live at the Holland Festival) – Sami Yusuf
DESCRIPTION:
Sami Yusuf’s composition ‘Veritas’ premiered at the Holland Festival in Amsterdam
as part of his concert series ‘When Paths Meet’.
From the minimal and ethereal sound of the intro,
it subtly transitions to a sense of awe at the astonishing majesty and multiplicity of creation.
The Persian-influenced musical phrasing of Sami Yusuf’s vocalisations
in the intro are inspired by the Daramad of Avaz-e dashti,
a subgroup of the Shur dastgah, a Persian modal system evocative of a meditative state.
Cappella Amsterdam sings quarter tones here and they do so brilliantly.
The flamenco and Andalusian sounds of the Amsterdam Andalusian Orchestra interplay
with Western classical elements and the vibrant Arabic maqam Bayati.
When the mode shifts to the passionate yearning of maqam Nahawand,
its similarity to the Western classical minor scale brings an effortless resonance between the two.
The outro joins Bayati and a harmonic minor scale in a multi-faceted,
fiery expression of multiple, even contradictory states of being,
while the vocalists insist,
‘Veritas’, ‘Veritas’ – Truth, Truth – and cast our focus beneath the turbulent surface storms
to the calm depths below.

Lyrics:
I know that I’m not alone
What I’ve seen, has been seen before
But it hurts just like a thorn
A pain I’ve never felt before
My heart says: “Just speak the truth”
But my mind says: “Don’t be a fool”
Need to get something off my mind
Don’t let this silence be misunderstood
I don’t know where my heart will take me
But I know your light will protect me
From this fragile world
I don’t know where I’m destined to be
Rich or poor, famous, loved or lonely
But I know, without your light I’ll never cope
In this fragile world
Did you think you can silence me?
With your lies, games and deceit?
You can continue robbing me
But you won’t rob my dignity
I know that life is just a game
An illusion that will fade
Cheat and lie, have it your way
But you can’t cheat death, no way
I don’t know where my heart will take me
But I know your light will protect me
From this fragile world
I don’t know where I’m destined to be
Rich or poor, famous, loved or lonely
But I know, without your light, I’ll never cope
In this fragile world
Life’s just a game

Lyrics:
MY BEST TIMES
WERE WHEN I FELT CLOSE TO YOU
BUT EVERYTHING FELL APART
THE MOMENT I STRAYED FROM YOU
IN EACH SMILE
IN EVERY SINGLE SIGH
EVERY MINUTE DETAIL
TRACES OF YOU ARE FOUND THERE
WHEREVER YOU ARE I’LL FIND YOU
‘CAUSE YOU’RE THE ONE I TURN TO
WHEREVER YOU BE I’LL BE WITH YOU
‘CAUSE YOU’RE THE ONE MY HEART IS TO
I NEED YOU (X2)

ZAMANUL-GHAREEB QALEELU-SSAKAN
THE TIME OF THE STRANGER SEES [LESS A PEACEFUL] DWELLING

AND THE NIGHT OF THE LONELY IS FILLED WITH SOBBING

Lyrics:
MY BEST TIMES
WERE WHEN I FELT CLOSE TO YOU
BUT EVERYTHING FELL APART
THE MOMENT I STRAYED FROM YOU
IN EACH SMILE
IN EVERY SINGLE SIGH
EVERY MINUTE DETAIL
TRACES OF YOU ARE FOUND THERE
WHEREVER YOU ARE I’LL FIND YOU
‘CAUSE YOU’RE THE ONE I TURN TO
WHEREVER YOU BE I’LL BE WITH YOU
‘CAUSE YOU’RE THE ONE MY HEART IS TO
I NEED YOU (X2)
(ARABIC)
ZAMANUL-GHAREEB QALEELU-SSAKAN
THE TIME OF THE STRANGER SEES [LESS A PEACEFUL] DWELLING
زمان الغريب قليل السكن
WA LAYLUL-WAHEED KATHEERU-SHAJAN
AND THE NIGHT OF THE LONELY IS FILLED WITH SOBBING
وليل الوحيد كثير الشجن
WA HAIYYTHU TAKOON, SAWFA AATI
WHEREVER YOU ARE I’LL (BE) FIND YOU
وحيث تكون سوف آتي
LI’ANAKA ANTA IKHTIYYARU HAYATI
‘CAUSE YOU ARE THE WILL OF MY LIFE
لأنك أنت اختيار حياتي
WA HAIYYTHU TUREED WUJOODI YAJOODU
WHEREVER YOU ARE, MY EXISTENCE IS FOUND
وحيث تريد وجودي يجود
FA’NTA KALAMI INDA SUKATI
FOR YOU ARE MY WORDS WHEN I’M SILENT
فأنت كلامي عند سكاتي
YA RAJA’I
O MY HOPE

WHEREVER YOU DESIRE, I WILL GO

إليك تسير الدروب
WA ANTAL-BA’EEDUL-QAREEB
YOU ARE FAR BUT CLOSE
وأنت بعيد قريب
WA ANTAL-GHAREEBUL-HABEEB
YOU ARE THE STRANGER AND THE BELOVED
وأنت الغريب الحبيب

Lament:
The encounter with the Transcendent inspires an unspeakable awe, in the face of which our worldly
existence appears as a source of separation and sorrow. Lament meditates on lines written by
Ibn ‘Arabi communicating the terror and wonder of an experience of the Infinitely Beyond.
The poet uses visceral language that associates the desolation of the lover with
the desolation of the desert to evoke the meeting of overwhelming attraction and overwhelming
fear in a heart that trembles in the face of the Absolute.

lyrics:
بِأَبي مَن ذُبتُ فيهِ كَمَداً
My father be the ransom of him for whose sake I melted with anguish!
بِأَبي مَن مُتُّ مِنهُ فَرَقا
My father be the ransom of him for whose sake I died of fear!
حُمرَةُ الحَجلَةِ في وَجنَتِهِ
وَضَحُ الصُبحِ يُناغي الشَفَقا
The blush of shame on his cheek is the whiteness of dawn conversing with the Redness of eve
غادَروني بِالأَثيلِ وَالنَقا x4
They left me at al-Uthayl and an-Naqá
مَن لِبَثّي مَن لِوَجدي دُلَّني
Who will compose my distracted thoughts?
Who will relieve my pain?
Guide me to him!
مَن لِحُزني مِن لِصَبٍّ عَشِقا
Who will ease my sorrow?
Who will help a passionate lover?
كُلَّما ضَنَّت تَباريحُ الهَوى
فَضَحَ الدَمعُ الجَوى وَالأَرَقا
Whenever I keep secret the torments of desire
My tears betray the flame within and the sleeplessness
فَإِذا قُلتُ هَبوا لي نَظرَةً
قيلَ ما تُمنَعُ إِلّا شَفَقا
And whenever I say, ‘Give me one look!
The answer is, ‘Thou art not hindered but for pity’s sake.’

In my dreams I’m in Madina
” رأيت في منامي أنني في المدينة ”
I fell I like that I’m in Jannah
” أشعر وكأنني في الجنة ”
I’m standing here in front of you
” أقف أمامك ”
you smile at me as I stare at you
” تبتسم أنت لي عندما أنظر إليك ”

You & I – Lyrics:
You and I, we are the same
We win and lose in the game of life
You and I, we seek the truth
Looking for the signs in the Universe
In this journey we are companions
Struggling through what life throws our way
Chorus:
Why should a mother cry?
Why should a wife see her husband die?
Oh, tell me why do we have to fight?
Why don’t we try, just you and I?
Oh, why don’t we try?
You and I, we love our land
Protect our own against any harm
You and I dream of the day
When everybody will live in peace
In this journey we are companions
Struggling through what life throws our way
Chorus
Throughout history so many senseless wars
Yet we never learn, we’re building borders around us
But we still have a chance to heal our wounded world
Let’s get rid of hatred and see each other as we really are
Before it’s to late, who knows what tomorrow may bring
But without justice there’s no way that peace can exist

As we sail, across the sea of life
So much pain, warring divides
It’s a shame; we don’t see how it can be
CHORUS
Oh we need to smile at each other
Reach for your brother
Help one another, all/what we need is love
Oh we need to honour our mothers
Shelter our sisters
Alter existence, God’s help will come from up above
But, First we need the love
All the games people playing now
Fuel the flames, hatred devours
Lets spark a change, that’s within all of us
CHORUS (x2)
RAP
i am in the birds
i am in the trees
from the brown branches
to the the green leaves
im colorful
spectrum infinite
i touch all
indiscriminate
breed compassion and sentiment
limitless in my power to heal
the hearts of men
but they are so forgetful
that’s why i remind on an instrumental
this life is a trial
can never the let the test effect your smile
reach for your brother go the extra mile
kiss for ya mother hug your sister let your wife know that you miss her
know that you can never give up
when you fall to the floor im the reason you must get up
love
im a blessing from God
So why you dont use me more is so odd
you need love!
we need love!
As we sail, across the sea of life

Lyrics:
Ya latiif, Ya latiif, Ya latiif
يا لطيف ، يا لطيف ، يا لطيف
Oh you the gentle one
Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah
Everyday and every night
I am thinking to myself
What it’s like to be Muslim
Now I know which way to go
La ilaha illa Allah
لا إله إلا الله
Muhammadun rasoolu Allah
محمد رسول الله
There’s no God but Allah
Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah
Ya latiif, Ya latiif, Ya latiif
يا لطيف ، يا لطيف ، يا لطيف
Oh you the gentle one
Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah
O Allah you are so kind
Without your lights I am blind
And in you I place my trust
Without your guidance I am lost
Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah
O Allah it’s you I adore
Without your mercy I’m no more
And in you I place my trust

lyrics:
Diliges proximum tuum tamquam te ipsum
[Translation: ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself’]
Love to give!
To give is love,
And love the gift,
The gift of love.
No belief!
Without the love,
Believe in love!
The belief of love.
None of you truly believes until you love for your neighbour what you love for yourself.
[A saying of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)]
Love to give!
The gift of love,
Give the other,
All your love.
What a relief!
To give my love,
I am now you,
And you are my love!

“Close To You” Lyrics:
I’m sitting here on this mountain
I’m thinking about Your creation
It’s so beautiful out here
A symphony of nature
Oh oh, it’s taking my breath away
I’m so blessed out here today
Chorus:
Allahu, Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah
I see the sun, the stars, the moon
I join them all in praising You
Allahu, Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah
I feel alive and I feel so good
I feel so close, so close to You
Looking out at the ocean
That makes us blue to the Universe
Wish I could see the world from space
SubhanAllah The Creator
Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah
Oh oh, and it’s taking my breath away
I’m so thankful I can say, just say…
CHORUS
And everywhere I look around me
Your creation’s so wonderful
And the more that think about it
Makes me love You even more
How the river finds the way to the valley
Is just so magical
And the way the night turns into day
It’s a miracle!
Oh, I love it!

Lyrics:
Khuda haazir hai, (God is present)
الله حاضر
Khuda maujood hai, (God is existent)
الله موجود
Khuda maliki yawmid-din hai, (God is the master of the Day of Judgement)
الله مالك يوم الدين
Khuda raheem hai, (God is merciful)
الله رحيم
Bas tu hi kareem hai, (You are generous)
أنت الكريم
Ek tu hi haq hai, (You’re the only truth)
أنت الحق
Malik-ul-mulk, haq-ul-yaqeen hai (You’re the owner of all sovereignty, the Certain Truth)
مالك الملك، حق اليقين
A million faces around the world but,
مليون وه حول العالم لكن
One thing is the same,
شيئ واحد لا يتغير
In their eyes I can see a light,
أرى في أعينهم نورك
Calling out your name,
ينادي باسمك
Har din har raat mein… (Every day and every night…)
في كل يوم وليلة
Kai mojzaat hai, (There are many miracles,)
هناك معجزات عديدة
Har zarre mein chhupi, (Hidden in every atom,)
مختبئة داخل كل ذرة
Kai qaaynaat hai (Is a universe)
كون واسع
In your light I can feel the love,
في إشعاع نورك أشعر بالحب،
It’s all that I need
وهو كل ما أحتاج إليه
When I’m alone I can hear your voice
أسمع صوتك في وحدتي
Deep inside of me
داخل أعماقي
Ya Khuda, ya Khuda, (O God, O God!)
يا الله يا الله
Tu ibtida, tu inteha, (You’re the beginning, you are the end)
أنت المبتدئ والمنتهى
Sajde mein tu, Dua mein tu, (My prostrations are for you, my supplications are for you)
سجودي لك ودعائي لك
Bas tu hi tu hi meri panaah (You are my only shelter)
أنت ملاذي الوحيد
La ilaha illallah hu, la ilaha illallah (There is no god but God)
La ilaha illallah
لا إله إلا الله
Muhammad-ur rasul Ullah (Muhammad is the Messenger of God)
محمد رسول الله
Ya Khuda (O God) you’re the answer,
يا الله أنت الجواب
You’re the one that I seek,
أنت من أسعى إليه
You’re the shelter from the rain
وحماي من الصعاب
You’re my strength when I’m weak,
وقوتي حين أضعف
Azal se chali hai jo, (From the very beginning…)
منذ البدء
Teri hi sachchai hai, (Only your truth has been there)
لم توجد سوى حقيقتك
Roshni yeh jo Chhayee hai, (This light that has spread…)
هذا النور الذي انتشر
Noor ki parchhayee hai, (Is the reflection of divinity)
هو انعكاس الألوهية
In your light I can feel your love,
في جلاء نورك، أشعر بالحب
It’s all that I see,
وهو كل ما أراه
You’re the beat and the harmony,
أنت التناغم والانسجام،
That’s inside of me
اللذان يسكناني
Ya Khuda, ya Khuda, (O God, O God!)
يا الله ، يا الله

“Jannah” Lyrics:
I know that this life is only finite
The good and the bad times
Will all be left behind
As we make our way through this journey
To the finest place for infinity
Allah don’t deny me
Your Paradise
Chorus:
Jannah, Jannah
(Paradise, Paradise)
It’s all I ever wish for
This life is not eternal
But the next will last for ever
Jannah, Jannah
It’s all I ever wish for
O God please don’t deprive me
A blissful life eternally
Oh how I long for
The moment I see You Allah
And meet Muhammad (pbuh)
With all his companions
In the place no eye has ever seen
Filled with love, peace and tranquility
Don’t deny me Your Paradise
Chorus
One day all my deeds will be shown in front of You
No one will be beside me, I’ll be standing on my own
Blessing me with Your mercy is all I’m hoping for
O Allah make my wishes come true

Sari Gelin:
Sari Gelin is a famous Azeri folk song hugely popular around the world, particularly in Turkey,
Azerbaijain and the Persian speaking countries (Afghanistan, Iran, Tajikistan) as well as Uzbekistan,
Greece, Bosnia and Serbia to name just a few. There are many traditional versions of this hauntingly emotional melody.
This is our humble attempt at creating an English version of this beautiful love song
based loosely on translations from the original variations.

lyrics:
I fight for a love
Knowing it can’t be won
Sent from a light above
Child of our golden Sun
Sari Gelin
I reach for hands
Knowing they can’t be held
Cursed by words I can’t tell
Broken under your spell
Sari Gelin
And like a rose
Turning in to thorns
My love was taken
Back to the light above
What can I do, my love?
Child of our Golden Sun
Sari Gelin.
A beating drum
Searches on for your song
Echoes will carry on
Wondering where you’ve gone
Sari Gelin
Is that your voice
Caught in the mountain air?
Leading me to nowhere
Drifting in silent prayer
Sari Gelin
And like a rose
Turning in to thorns
My love was taken
Back to the light above
What can I do, my love?
Child of our Golden Sun
Sari Gelin
Saçın ucun hörməzlər Gülü sulu dərməzlər Sarı gəlin
Saçın ucun hörməzlər Gülü sulu dərməzlər Sarı gəlin
Bu sevda nə sevdadır Səni mənə verməzlər Neynim aman, aman Neynim aman, aman Sarı gəlin
Back to the light above
What can I do, my love?
Child of our Golden Sun

We once had a Teacher
The Teacher of teachers,
He changed the world for the better
And made us better creatures,
Oh Allah we’ve shamed ourselves
We’ve strayed from Al-Mu’allim,
Surely we’ve wronged ourselves
What will we say in front him?
Oh Mu’allim…
[Chorus]
He was Muhammad salla Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam,
Muhammad, mercy upon Mankind,
He was Muhammad salla Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam,
Muhammad, mercy upon Mankind,
Teacher of all Mankind.
Abal Qasim (one of the names of the Prophet)
Ya Habibi ya Muhammad
(My beloved O Muhammad)
Ya Shafi’i ya Muhammad
(My intercessor O Muhammad)
Khayru khalqillahi Muhammad
(The best of Allah’s creation is Muhammad)
Ya Mustafa ya Imamal Mursalina
(O Chosen One, O Imam of the Messengers)
Ya Mustafa ya Shafi’al ‘Alamina
(O Chosen One, O intercessor of the worlds)
He prayed while others slept
While others ate he’d fast,
While they would laugh he wept
Until he breathed his last,
His only wish was for us to be
Among the ones who prosper,
Ya Mu’allim peace be upon you,
Truly you are our Teacher,
Oh Mu’allim..
[Chorus]
Ya Habibi ya Muhammad
(My beloved O Muhammad)
Ya Shafi’i ya Muhammad

Ya Rasuli ya Muhammad

Ya Nadhiri ya Muhammad
(O warner O Muhammad)
‘Ishqu Qalbi ya Muhammad
(The love of my heart O Muhammad)
Nuru ‘Ayni ya Muhammad
(Light of my eye O Muhammad)
He taught us to be just and kind
And to feed the poor and hungry,
Help the wayfarer and the orphan child
And to not be cruel and miserly,
His speech was soft and gentle,
Like a mother stroking her child,
His mercy and compassion,
Were most radiant when he smiled
[Chorus]

Ku MilikMu – Lyrics:
Kuberdoa
Dengan jiwa dan tubuhku
Setiap hari sepanjang hidupku
Dengan napasku
Aku berjanji pada-Mu
Untuk hidup hanya untuk-Mu
O Allah!
Kau bangkitkan jiwaku
Cahaya-Mu terangi hatiku
Hidupku,
Kupersembahkan pada-Mu
Ku milik-Mu
Ku milik-Mu
Chorus:
Kini kutahu rasanya
Hidup dalam cahaya kasih-Mu
Kini kutahu rasanya
Menemukan damai di hati
Seandainya semua tahu
Indahnya mengabdi pada-Mu
Seandainya semua tahu
Kasih-Mu lepaskan belenggu
Bebaskanku, kuatkanku
O Allah!
Kubersyukur pada-Mu
Walau kata tak sanggup ungkapkan
Kau buatku,
Mampu lawan keraguan
Dan tegar hadapi tantangan
Hanya Engkau
Sanggup bangkitkan jiwaku
Cahaya-Mu terangi hatiku
Dan hidupku,
Kupersembahkan pada-Mu
Ku milik-Mu
Ku milik-Mu
CHORUS
Cinta, hidup, siang, malam, harta, doa semua
untuk-Mu (x2)
Dan tiada satu pun dapat bersaing dengan-Mu di hatiku
Cinta, hidup, siang, malam, harta, doa semua untuk-Mu

Lyrics:
He cried for us late at night
A candle lit saw passers-by,
And from his lips it could be heard,
Allah, Allah, forgive my Ummah
Rabbi Habli Ummati
The pearls that had left his eyes,
Rolled down his face for you and I,
And from his lips it could be heard
Allah, Allah, forgive my Ummah
Witness were those by his side,
The very last breaths of his life,
From his lips it could be heard.
Allah, Allah, forgive my Ummah
Crowned the king of messengers,
For once he did not forget us,
No matter where we’ll ever be,
From our lips it shall be heard,
Peace and blessings be upon you oh Beloved of Allah

When paths meet (Live at the Holland Festival) – Sami Yusuf
On that moment before all moments,
On that morn before the world was born,
When we did Thy Lordship witness,
Seeing Thy Countenance, hearing Thy Command,
Uttering the yea that echoes forever within,
Did we the cadence of Divine Music hear.
In this lowly world I hear that Music near and far,
In the plucking of the oud and the tar,
In the drone of the sitar and the gong of the gamelan,
In the haunting melodies of those monks
Singing in unison of Thy Glory,
In the rhythmic drumbeats issuing from verdant forests,
And the shepherd’s ney breathing upon the hills,
In all those voices chanting of the love for Thee,
In all music that celebrates Thy Beauty inviolable,
I do hear that cadence of Divine Music,
And so in the chanting of the birds and the singing of the whales,
In the murmur of the wind through those majestic trees,
And even in the silent invocation of the mountains and the stars,
For is not the substance of all Thy creation,
But invocation of Thy Blessed Names
chanted in the cadence of Divine Music?
But most of all it is in solitude with Thee,
When I and Thou are alone in intimacy,
That I hear so clearly the cadence of that Music Divine
Which I heard on that pre-eternal dawn,
And which ceases not to resonate within,
Bearing witness to the reality of Thy Presence,
Echoing the cadence of that Divine Music,
Echoes from the myriads of created beings
That are but nothingness reflecting Thy Theophanies.
Let me be alone in Thy intimacy,
So as to hear again in the clearest of sounds,
The cadence of that Music Divine
Which I heard at the moment of encounter with Thy Face,
In that pre-eternal moment of creation,
The moment that is now and ever shall be the eternal now.
On that moment before all moments,

The Centre:
Just as the centre of a circle draws together all the radii surrounding it into unity, The Centre brings together all of the crucial elements of the spiritual journey. Putting aside self-centred doubt and ungratefulness we come to understand that the Here and Now is the doorway between the limited and the Infinite, between time and Eternity. To pass through this doorway is ‘To find the key to all existence.’
—
lyrics:
Why am I in this place torn asunder by blight?
Shorn by the blades of inequity, drowned by darkness,
Immersed in the turbid waters of negligence and forgetfulness?
Question not why, but understand this simple truth:
Here is the Centre that is the Centre of all wheres,
Now is the moment at the heart of all times.
Ask not why here and now
But be in the here and now
Here is the Centre that is the Centre of all wheres,
Now is the moment at the heart of all times
Ask not why here and now
But be in the here and now
To find the key to all existence

“Let It Go” Lyrics:-
Life can be so hard sometimes
Break you up inside
All you want to do is cry
Shut the door and hide
Don’t surrender to what was
Put your faith in what will be
Everyday is a brand new start
Chorus:
Let it go, let it go
Let it go, let it go
Giving up should never be
Something you decide to do
Wipe the tears from your cheek
God knows what you’re going through
So don’t surrender to what was
Put your faith in what will be
Everyday is a brand new start, yeah
CHORUS
I know it’s hard but believe and keep trying
And it will be okay
‘Cause in your heart is the strength to survive it
You will be okay
And in no time like the sun you’ll be shining
Just let it go away
CHORUS
Let it go away, let it go
Oh, let it go
