Tahirul a’raqi wash shiyami
No eye has ever seen, nor will it ever see
any human being the like of Ta-Ha
He is the best creature to have
walked on earth

For over there are the lights of Dhi Salam

In the presence of the one who is the best
of Arabs and non-Arabs

إن تذكرنا أحبتنا
وأهلنا و جيرتنا
أجاب الله دعوتنا
وأعم الكل بالنّعم
In tathakkarna ahibbatana
Wa ahlina wa jiratana
Ajabal lahu da’watana
Wa a’mmal kulla bin ni’ami
If we remember our loved ones
And our families and neighbours
Then Allah will answer our prayers
And He will shower His blessings on us all

وصلاة الله لم تزال
لك تهدى ما دعاك ولي
مع تسليمٍ من الأزل
تنتهي حتى إلى الأبد
Wa salatul lahi lam tazali
Laka tuhda ma da’aka waliyy
Ma’a taslimin minal azali
Tantahi hatta ilal abadi
And the salutations of Allah continuously
Are sent to you whenever a saint remembers you
Along with blessings, for eternity and they will never end

على حبيبكَ خيرِ الخلقِ كُلهِمِ
Upon Your Beloved, the best of the whole of creation

محمدٌ سيدُ الكونَين والثَّقَلَين
Muhammad is the master of the two worlds and of Man and Jinn
و الفريقَينِ من عُربٍ و من عَجمِ
Leader also of the Arabs, non-Arabs and their kin

هو الحبيبُ الذي تُرجَى شفاعتُه
Beloved by Allah is he upon whose pleading we depend
لكل هَولٍ من الأهوال مُقتحِمِ
From the terrors of the Day of Judgement, which on us descend

ثم الرِّضا عن أبي بكرٍ وعن عُمرٍ
Then we ask You to be pleased with Abu Bakr, ‘Umar
وعن عليٍّ وعن عثمانَ ذي الكَرمِ
Ali and ‘Uthman the generous one

O my Lord! With the Elect One make us attain our goals
و اغفِرْ لنا ما مَضَى يا واسِعَ الكَرمِ
And forgive us for what has passed, O Most Munificent One!

ربّاهُ يا غَوثَـاهُ يا ربَّاهُ
قد جاء عبدُك رافعًا شَكواهُ

قد جاء مُنْكسِرًا يُقرُّ بِذَنبِهِ
حاشا الرَّحيمَ يَردُّهُ حاشاهُ!

قد جاء مُضطِربًا ويعرضُ فاقةً
عندَ الذي لا رازقٌ إلا هُوْ

قد جاء مُنصدِعًا ويبكي ضعفَهُ
لا فارِجٌ إلّاكَ يا مَولاهُ

ما خاب مَن قصَدَ الكريـمَ بِـحاجةٍ
هل جاءهُ إلا وقد لَبَّاهُ؟

لا مُـنجيًا عطشانَ إلا غَيثُهُ
نَـهرٌ مَصَبُّ الرزقِ مِن مَـجرَاهُ

مَن للغريقِ بغير ما مُستَنقَذٍ
والـمَوجُ والـحِيتانُ قد لزَّاهُ؟

مَن للـمُعنَّى إنْ تَرامَى ضِيقُهُ
حتى تَشظَّى في لَظَى دُنياهُ؟

مَن للأسيرِ وقد تَقَلَّبَ في الأَسَى
وفُؤَادُه في نَبْضِهِ يَنعَاهُ؟

مَن للـمُصَابِ شديدةٌ مأسَاتُهُ
حتّى كأنَّ طِعَانَـها أرداهُ؟

مَن للأسيفِ إذا أُحيطَ بـحُزنهِ
وتَـمنَّعَتْ مِن غَمضِها جَفناهُ؟

مَن للمريضِ إذا توجَّعَ باكيًا
حتى اكتَوَى مِن أنِّهِ جَنباهُ؟

مَن للبئيسِ تَبدَّدَتْ مِنهُ الـمُنَى
وتَقرَّحَتْ مِن دَمْعِهِ عَيناهُ؟

مَن للـمَدِينِ وقد تَراكَمَ حِـملُهُ؟
أحلامُهُ غاضَتْ بِـما يَلقاهُ!

مَن للفقيرِ إذا رأى صِبيانَهُ
في جوعِهم؟ وَيلٌ لهُ وَيلاهُ!

لا غيرَ فضلِكَ رافِعٌ مِن دَرْكَةٍ
لو كانَ في قاعٍ هَوَى أعلاهُ

أكرمتَهُ وأنَلْتَهُ منكَ العَطَا
لولاكَ يا ربّـاهُ مَن نَـجَّاهُ؟

ألقيتُ رحْلي عند بابكَ مُـخبِتًا
أرجو النَّجاةَ وكِلْمتي “أوَّاهُ”!

ما زلتُ ذا ندمٍ وحَسْبي أوبَةٌ
والناسُ في دنياهمُ قد تاهوا

ما زلتَ تَستُـرُ معْ عظيمِ جِنَايَةٍ
والفضْلُ مِنكَ جَليلةٌ ذِكراهُ

سبحانَ مَن يَـحْبُو الـخَلائقَ رزقَها
والـجُودُ والإحسانُ هِجِّيْـرَاهُ!

والطيرُ مكسورَ الـجناحِ أغاثَهُ
ومِنَ الـهلاكِ أصابهُ أحيَاهُ!

ناجيتُهُ وقصدْتُهُ مُستَبشِرًا
والخيرُ كلُّ الخيرِ في نَـجْواهُ!

أنت اللطيفُ إذا توارَى لُطفُهمْ
أنتَ الرَّحيمُ البَـرُّ مِنكَ الـجَاهُ

أنت الشّكورُ إذا مَـنَحْتَ عطيَّةً
حارتْ بشُكرِ عطائِكَ الأفواهُ

أنت العليمُ بِـحاجتي يا واهبًا
للمرءِ قبلَ سؤالِهِ بُشرَاهُ

أسْعِفْ وجُدْ يا مالكًا للعبدِ قدْ
فُقِدَ الـمُعينُ سِواكَ يا اللهُ!
