كلمات العمل:

أَحِنُّ إِلَىٰ لِقَائِكَ يَا حَبِيبِي
وَأَبْحَثُ عَنْكَ فِي شَتَّىٰ الدُّرُوبِ

وَذِكْرُكَ دَيْدَنِي رَغْمَ التَّنَائِي
وَأَنْتَ مَدَىٰ الدُّنَا طِبِّي وَطِيبِي

وَحَالَتْ بَيْنَنَا الْأَقْدَارُ قُل لِّي
مَتَىٰ يَدْنُو الْمُحِبُّ مِنَ الْحَبِيبِ

مَتَىٰ يَا مُهْجَتِي سَأَرَاكَ حُرًّا
مَتَىٰ سَتَزُولُ آثَارُ الْحُرُوبِ

مَتَىٰ تَجْفُو ضَوَاحِيَكَ الْمَنَايَا
وَتَخْفُتُ فِيكَ أَصْوَاتُ النَّحِيبِ

مَتَىٰ تَهْمِي الْغُيُوثُ بِلَا انْقِطَاعٍ
فَيَغْدُو الْقَفْرُ كَالْمَرْجِ الْخَصِيبِ

مَتَىٰ تَغْزُو السَّعَادَةُ كُلَّ قَلْبٍ
لِتَفْتِكَ بِالْكَآبَةِ وَالشُّحُوبِ

مَتَىٰ نَأْتِي رِحَابَكَ كَيْ نُصَلِّي
صَلَاةَ النَّصْرِ فِي ثَوْبٍ قَشِيبِ

مَتَىٰ يَا قُدْسُ تَعْدُوكَ الْبَلَايَا
وَنَجْمُ أَسَاكَ يُسْلِمُ لِلْمَغِيبِ

مَتَىٰ يَوْمٌ يَجِيءُ كَيَوْمِ بَدْرٍ
يُجَرُّ بِهِ الطُّغَاةُ إِلَىٰ الْقَلِيبِ

أُنَادِيهِمْ بَنِي صُهْيُونَ كُفُّوا
فَهَلْ يَا قُدْسُ فِيهِمْ مِنْ مُجِيبِ

يَرَوْنَ النَّصْرَ لِلْأَقْصَىٰ بَعِيدًا
وَنَحْنُ نَرَاهُ يَأْتِي عَنْ قَرِيبِ
