إِلَى السَماءِ مَدَدْتُ يا إِلٰهِي يَدا
ثُمَّ مَسَحْتُ بِأُخْرَى دَمْعَ مُتَّقِدا

لِلّٰهِ نَفْسِي ، وَأَنْفاسِي أُقَدِّمُها
هَلْ يَجْعَلُ القَلْبُ دُونَ اللّٰهِ مُلْتَحَدا ؟!

لِلّٰهِ أَشْكُو ، فَأَزْكُو عَنْ شَرِيكٍ بِهِ
كَبَثِّ يَعْقُوبَ غَيْرَ اللّٰهِ ما عَبَدَ

لِلّٰهِ أَمْضِي ، فَأَقْضِي حاجَتِي ثِقَةً
فَالنَّفْسُ لا تَعْلَمُ ما يَعْتَرِيها غَدا

للّٰهِ خَوْفِي ، فَجَوْفِي لا يَسُودُ بِهِ
غَيْرَ العَظِيمِ ، فَعادَ القَلْبُ مُرْتَعِدا

فِي اللّٰهِ أَرْجُو ، فَأَنْجُو مِنْ حِبالِ الوَرَى
كَيْفَ العَبِيدُ رَضَتْ مِنْ جِنْسِها سَنَدا ؟!

أَغِيبُ فِي الرُوحِ عَنْ دُنْيا تُؤَرِّقُنِي
خَلَعْتُ نَعْلَ الهَوَى ؛ بَلْ أَخْلَعُ الجَسَدَ

سَجَدْتُ بِالقَلْبِ وَالأَعْضاءُ تابِعَةٌ
فَإِنْ أَبَى القَلْبُ ، جِسْمُ العَبْدِ ما سَجَدَ !
