رَسَمْتُكَ يَا حَبِيْبِي فِي خَيَالِي
Aku melukis (membayangkan) dirimu,
wahai kekasihku, di dalam khayalanku

وَلَمْ يَرْسُمْ سِوَاكَ بِلَوْحِ بَالِي
Dan tidak ada selain dirimu yang terlukis di
dalam lembaran pikiranku

جَعَلْتُكَ قِبْلَتِي مِحْرَابَ رُوْحِي
Aku menjadikanmu kiblatku dan mihrab bagi jiwaku

بِقَلْبِي فِي الْهَجِيْرِ وَفِي الظِّلَالِ
Di dalam hatiku, baik saat di bawah terik
matahari yang panas maupun saat di tempat yang teduh

أَهِيْمُ إِلَى لَيَالٍ كُنْتُ أَلْفَى بِهَا
Aku merindu dan berkelana (pikirannya) menuju
malam-malam di mana aku menemukan Keindahan

هَيَا طِيْبَ هَاتِيْكَ اللَّيَالِي
dan keharuman pada malam-malam tersebut

وَحَقِّكَ إِنَّ وَجْدِي فِيْكَ وَجْدِي
Dan demi kebenaranmu, sesungguhnya kerinduanku
padamu adalah kerinduan yang sejati

وَحَالِي لَمْ يَزَلْ بِهَوَاكَ حَالِي
Dan keadaanku akan tetap selalu mencintaimu (terpikat oleh cintamu)

طَلَعَ الْبَدْرُ عَلَيْنَا
Telah terbit bulan purnama bagi kami

مِنْ ثَنِيَّاتِ الْوَدَاعِ
Dari lembah Tsaniyyatul Wada’

وَجَبَ الشُّكْرُ عَلَيْنَا
Wajiblah syukur atas kami

مَا دَعَا لِلَّهِ دَاعِ
Selama penyeru masih menyeru kepada Allah

أَيُّهَا الْمَبْعُوثُ فِينَا
Wahai yang diutus kepada kami

جِئْتَ بِالْأَمْرِ الْمُطَاعِ
Engkau datang membawa perintah untuk ditaati

جِئْتَ شَرَّفْتَ الْمَدِينَة
Engkau datang memuliakan Madinah

مَرْحَبًا يَا خَيْرَ دَاعِ
Selamat datang wahai penyeru terbaik

أَنْتَ شَمْسٌ أَنْتَ بَدْرٌ
Engkau bagai matahari, engkau bagai bulan purnama

أَنْتَ نُوْرٌ عَلَى نُوْرٍ
Engkau adalah cahaya di atas cahaya

أَنْتَ مِصْبَاحُ الثُّرَيَّا
Engkau adalah pelita bintang Thurayya/bintang di langit yang tinggi

يَا حَبِيْبِي يَا رَسُوْلُ
Wahai kekasihku, wahai Rasul
