قد جاء عبدُك رافعًا شَكواهُ

قد جاء مُنْكسِرًا يُقرُّ بِذَنبِهِ
حاشا الرَّحيمَ يَردُّهُ حاشاهُ!

قد جاء مُضطِربًا ويعرضُ فاقةً
عندَ الذي لا رازقٌ إلا هُوْ

قد جاء مُنصدِعًا ويبكي ضعفَهُ
لا فارِجٌ إلّاكَ يا مَولاهُ

ما خاب مَن قصَدَ الكريـمَ بِـحاجةٍ

مَن للـمُصَابِ شديدةٌ مأسَاتُهُ
حتّى كأنَّ طِعَانَـها أرداهُ؟

مَن للأسيفِ إذا أُحيطَ بـحُزنهِ
وتَـمنَّعَتْ مِن غَمضِها جَفناهُ؟

مَن للمريضِ إذا توجَّعَ باكيًا
حتى اكتَوَى مِن أنِّهِ جَنباهُ؟

مَن للبئيسِ تَبدَّدَتْ مِنهُ الـمُنَى
وتَقرَّحَتْ مِن دَمْعِهِ عَيناهُ؟

مَن للـمَدِينِ وقد تَراكَمَ حِـملُهُ؟
أحلامُهُ غاضَتْ بِـما يَلقاهُ!

مَن للفقيرِ إذا رأى صِبيانَهُ
في جوعِهم؟ وَيلٌ لهُ وَيلاهُ!

لا غيرَ فضلِكَ رافِعٌ مِن دَرْكَةٍ
لو كانَ في قاعٍ هَوَى أعلاهُ

أكرمتَهُ وأنَلْتَهُ منكَ العَطَا
لولاكَ يا ربّـاهُ مَن نَـجَّاهُ؟

والفضْلُ مِنكَ جَليلةٌ ذِكراهُ

سبحانَ مَن يَـحْبُو الـخَلائقَ رزقَها

والطيرُ مكسورَ الـجناحِ أغاثَهُ
ومِنَ الـهلاكِ أصابهُ أحيَاهُ!

ناجيتُهُ وقصدْتُهُ مُستَبشِرًا

أنت اللطيفُ إذا توارَى لُطفُهمْ
أنتَ الرَّحيمُ البَـرُّ مِنكَ الـجَاهُ
